We really enjoy Santa Cruz! Jen and I rode our motorbikes down here all the time when we lived in San Mateo and there was always something off beat going on. We decided to take the first few days of being vagabonds down here, seemed like the right thing to do. We have seen enough off beat things since getting here to assure ourselves that it remains weird and one of our favorite places.
One example….
Our house in Napa has sold and we have moved all of our stuff into storage. Well not really everything about a thousand pounds of it are in the landfill or donated to others. First step towards downsizing accomplished! Now we are on the road for the next few months and looking forward to visiting family and friends.
We have a few adjustments to make, for example this is my new office location and with excellent coffee from my friends at Ritual in Napa!
K and I are spending a few days riding in the Sierra Nevada mountains. We stayed in grass valley last night but the best coffee is just down the road in Nevada City at the Curly Wolf.
Excellent coffee with an easy walk from downtown.
As my daughter will tell you there are many good coffee places on Montreal. The one I found near our hotel was this one, Pikolo, fine coffee. As an added bonus it was next door to nota bene. A fine stationary stop. A fine time.
We are staying in old Quebec near the bottom of the citadel and found a good coffee place. Cafe du soleil is your place.

Great coffee in Charlottetown, PE. Relaxed pace, with good food and wifi to boot.
