Night riding in the rain puts you into a different reality…

it appears in the good old days people put out job postings that got the point without a lot of the mumbo jumbo we see in today’s job ads.

I’ve been home a week now and running around doing the inevitable – just got home from a long trip – stuff. Getting ahead of all that now and got on my Ducati today to do a few little errands. Soooo different from the GS, everything is hard edged, precise and a bit high strung. A different kind of fun!

I ran into Bob in the parking lot of the local hardware store. He built an electric bike from scratch and has done all the tuning and configuration himself. He has plans for a couple of new projects including a 3 wheel motorbike that is in a streamliner mode with 2 back drive wheels.

Meeting people like Bob is a tonic for the soul.

In the continuing theme of bourbon, we took a trip with Jen’s relatives out to visit the Maker’s Mark distillery south of Louisville. A beautiful location, an excellent tour and finally a tasting. I’m starting to enjoy this whole Kentucky experience!

On the way Louisville, we stumbled on the Bourbon trail! While not a comprehensive analysis we did make a stop at the Woodford Distillery and did a wee tasting. Kentucky Bourbon in Kentucky – priceless!
